This position performs duties related to the review, assessment and development of business processes.  Focus is on the effective use of resources, both people and technology, in the execution of Trinidad Benham’s mission.  Functioning in a liaison capacity, this individual will analyze and translate departmental business requirements into systems deployments and/or business process changes.  Individual will act as a change agent to help facilitate effective deployments/modifications to current practices.


  • Procure business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task/workflow analysis
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following products as needed: Functional requirements, Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs
  • Utilize experience with enterprise-wide requirement definitions and management systems/methodologies
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
  • Drive and challenge business unit assumptions to ensure success
  • Serve as a conduit between the customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow
  • Develop requirement specifications according to standard templates using natural language
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
  • Perform software QA duties to build test plans and cases based on user functional requirements and apply those at set intervals in the development process to verify the software is meeting those requirements
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or IT
  • 5+ years of business/systems analysis or quality assurance experience
  • 5+ years customer interface experience
  • Must be versed in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques/tools
  • Proven experience eliciting requirements and testing
  • Basic knowledge of generating process documentation
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing and delivering presentations; must be able to communicate fluently with diverse groups
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
